On August 12, a fruit and vegetable market donated by Infinitus (China) Hebei Branch and the Si Ji Li Ren Foundation was officially completed in Fengning Manchu Autonomous County.
In order to adjust the industrial structure and increase the income of farmers, Fengning government has been encouraging and supporting cultivation of fruits and vegetables like tomato in cold sheds. The output of the fruits and vegetables in a local township named Xuanjiangying increased from 2 million catty in 2009 to 20 million catty in 2019. However, because of COVID-19 in early 2020, the fruits and vegetables trading was heavily affected.
To provide more support to the farmers and stimulate local business, Infinitus (China) Hebei Branch together with the Si Li Ji Ren Foundation donated 142,000 RMB for the construction of the fruits and vegetables market in Xuanjiangying Township, Fengning County. It is expected that the fruits and vegetables market can promote vegetable greenhouse cultivation and increase the farmers’ income. The fruits and vegetables market was just completed right after the maturity of more than 1,600 acres of tomatoes in Xuanjiangying, providing an online and offline trading platform and benefiting thousands of farmers in the surrounding areas.
The Si Ji Li Ren Foundation is a charity foundation funded by Infinitus (China) since 2012 and it aims to care for the well-being of people, collect resources for public benefit and promote harmony in the society. It is believed that one of the keys to eradicate poverty is to develop industries with local features. Infinitus (China) has been sparing no efforts to fulfill its corporate social responsibility and help the undeveloped villages to get rid of poverty.
